Off to the Races
(The Format - Inches and Falling)

I normally don't go right out and say how I feel to random strangers. I keep quiet, mostly because I'm shy, but also because, well. I find myself to be Curiously Odd and Outrageous. Hence the title. Which is why the idea of a blog both terrifies me and intrigues me.

But I had the itch to write, to tell people about me. So I moseyed over to Fictionpress. And I came across "Confessions of a Caffeine Addict," by Mirthless Laughter. I saw the other stories in the Biography section and thought it's nice to know there are other people venting like me. And then I was convinced.

I love trying new things too much.

So, hi.

You might recognize me. I'm the quiet girl who sits in the back of the class who is smart and you know of, but don't really know. That girl with her nose glued to a book at the bus stop; the one wandering around the neighbourhood, iPod in dancing down the sidewalk.

The truth behind "that quiet girl" is she's weird. Curious. Odd. Strange.

That's me. Yep.

These are all little stories and anecdotes about my life. All true. Guaranteed. Some names of people and places may be fudged but that's just because I'm paranoid about people stalking me.

After all, I've tried it. Stalking is surprisingly easily. Especially when you have big books full of information dumped on your porch yearly. But that story is coming up next. For now I'd just like to say hello, and thanks for reading. My name is Lorry. Please to meet you.
