This hot oatmeal scalds my throat
Healing the wounds I got screaming for you
I didn't think I'd be so hungry
But I'm starving for your attention, it's true
The cup of sugar fails to taste
As good as your eyes do to my soul
Now all this food is laid to waste
I can't stomach the reality in this bowl
