The Heroes Who Fell
By
Lady Arianne Of Ambers Valley
The wind rippled over the grass,
over the poppies,
over the heads of the living,
and over the bodies of the fallen.
The rain pelted them,
as they stood there waiting,
wating to die.
The sun shone on them,
decades after they last felt sunlight.
The people remembered them,
decades after they became a memory.
The soldiers stand tall,
stand proud,
stand forever in the memories.
The soldiers are the heroes,
the heroes who fell.
