Unhappy Endings

"Lilly come away from the edge now!" Oscar shouted for the third time.

There was no reply from Lilly, maybe she couldn't hear over the waves or maybe she didn't want to hear him.

Oscar edged closer towards Lilly, closer towards the edge of the 50ft cliff, closer to the roaring sea that was going out right now but still close enough to the overhanging cliff that if one of the kids fell the sea would claim them instantly.

"Lilly if you don't get back here now I'll," Oscar broke off and so did the ground underneath him, he fell unwillingly towards the crashing sea leaving Lilly on the cliff screaming in horror. Oscar closed his eyes waiting for the impact, his life was over and strangely he wasn't afraid of it.

Hitting the sea was like crashing into a brick wall while travelling at 100mph on a motorbike with out a helmet. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you see it, the outcome wasn't the same less blood and a slower death. As Oscars' unconscious body started to hyperfermiate it was tossed around the water, like the ball in a hockey match, spending as much time underwater as he did on top, his body slowly drifted outwards.

If any one had been watching, and now that Lilly had run off to get help no one was watching, they would have seen Oscars' body turning around and heading towards the beach, they would have also noticed that on his way to the beach he weaved around the bigger waves and stayed on top of the water.
