i do not remember much about the first day i met you.

i don’t remember what day it was, what day of the week, or even what month (though it must have been summer, because it was hot and humid outside). i don’t quite remember where—on campus, somewhere, but the exact location escapes me. i don’t remember what i was doing before i met you, or the circumstances that led me to cross your path for the first time.

what i do remember is the very slight breeze, so faint that it was almost nonexistent. the sounds of people talking and laughing all around me.

and you. i remember you.

i was walking up the path, on my way to class. you were walking in the opposite direction, straight at me.

right as we passed each other, someone bumped into me, and i fell sideways into you.

i remember turning to look at you, startled as your gaze met mine.

i remember the glow of your eyes—bright, clear aquamarine; the purest ocean.

and i remember the first words you ever said to me.

“hey, pretty girl.”

my first attempt at something longer than a one-page word document. i hope it goes well.

largely inspired by the works of it's not your fault/october lies. (go read them. they rock.)

characters are intended to be college-aged. this will have some importance later.

i would love you forever if you reviewed. honest.
