Prologue.

I was sitting in my fourth period class, watching the clock as the seconds passed by, waiting to get out of there and go out to lunch. Mr. Hamilton was assigning our homework and as I finished writing down the assignment, I felt my cell phone vibrate in my pocket. It was times like this sitting in the back of the class was an advantage. I pulled my phone from my pocket. I had a picture message and I opened it up.

It was from Nolan. So I scrolled down and when I saw the picture I didn’t feel shocked or surprised like most people would probably be. It wasn’t a surprise; I should have seen it coming. I just felt hurt, my heart dropped and I could feel it start to break. With everything he put me through, I would have never expected this.

The bell rang and I grabbed my bag but I couldn’t put the picture away, I just stared as it as I left the class.

“Shay put your phone away before I call security.” Mr. Hamilton said.

“Okay.” I mumbled but I didn’t, I couldn’t, my eyes couldn’t lift from it and every second I looked at it, it felt worse. I walked, I didn’t know where I was going, I even walked into a few people, but then I stopped when he called my name.
