Fresh Face
August 29, 2009
Stop throwing rocks at my window
Stop dodging the bushes in my backyard
Just come to the front door, I'll let you in
I'll even keep the dog from barking
Get off my porch, quit playing your guitar
Just come inside, we'll fall asleep in each other's arms
I just want you
Call off the production
All of that means nothing
Just be real with me
We don't need an audience to feel complete
We don't need a show to have a memorable scene
We don't need a script to say how we feel
Then why is everything such a huge ordeal?
Take a break from smiling
I know the reason behind it
So give those lips a rest
And tell me something I don't know yet
