A/N: I know, you were all expecting me to update by putting up a new chapter- but I decided to post this instead. The re-write of one of my first stories that I had posted and taken down. I hope all of you give it a chance. Thanks! Review please!

My fiancé begged me to go with him to his five year high school reunion. At first, I was hesitant. For some odd reason, my gut was telling me not to go, that it would be a horrible idea. Something I would regret for the rest of my life

I should have listened.

In just going to this one reunion, my entire world fell apart. Who knew a high school fight between four friends could change everything five years later? And how was I supposed to know that this one fight completely destroyed the lives of four people, no matter how okay all of them seemed to be? I hadn't known anything about it. Maybe if I had, things would have ended up differently.

Why didnt I just leave it alone? Why had I asked around, why did I find it necessary to figure out what happened that one night, five years ago?

The reunion was three days worth of picnics, evening dress dinners, and casual get-togethers.

The very first night, the evening dress night, I knew something was wrong the second we walked into the room. Every head, every eye, turned in out direction. Or, should I say, in Landons direction, barely anyone noticed the woman he had on his arm.

It was only seconds later that all of the whispering started.

Landon held my hand tightly, making me wince, and I looked up to see a hugely fake smile plastered onto his face. What was going on?

I glanced around and saw everyone whispering, still staring at us. Everyone, that is, except three others.

One woman was standing alone in a corner, her eyes and face serious as she gazed at us, her gaze unwavering.

There was a man surrounded by a huge group of people, ignoring all those that were trying to speak to him and looking at Landon, an unreadable expression plastered on his handsome face.

And then there was another woman,. A woman who was also standing with a huge group, though not the same as the man, and she was biting her lip, looking as though she were trying not to cry. Her eyes went from Landon, to the man, to the woman in the corner, than back to Landon, never pausing.

My brow furrowed. What was going on?
