One Day in a Tree
August 29, 2009
I'm going to go out on a limb
Maybe I'll just swing there for awhile
You should climb up here with me
We'll jump from branch to branch
It isn't greener in any other tree
We'll be casting shadows as the sun falls
Staying pure and golden through it all
The leaves have such a unique dance
Trying to make their way through this world like us
Don't shy away from the cool night sky
It just gives more light to your smile
When it's too good to be true, it's usually false
And you are the fakest of them all
Quit taking everything as it is
Everything that's deep also has a surface
You just need to figure out where to take the plunge
