Osaka, Japan June 2004 Kurotani House

Its a Saturday morning and Fuyuki decide to stay in her bedroom to draw. Her older sister went out and met her boyfriend at the local arcade. As usual, her father went to work earlier. So, Fuyuki is pretty much home alone with her grandparents. After 20 minutes or so, her grandpa enter Fuyuki's bedroom.

"Fuyuki, are you planning to go somewhere today?" Kouta ask.

"Not sure yet." Fuyuki reply.

Fuyuki is wearing her pjs, which consist long sleeve gray shirt and gray pj bottoms. Her hair messy as usual. Kouta is wearing western clothes, which consist short leeve white shirt and brown slacks. He is even wearing his haori jacket over his western clothes.

"Are you and obaachan are going somewhere ojiichan?"

"We'll be going to meet up with our friends. If you do go somewhere.....please lock the front door."

"I will, ojiichan."

Kouta says goodbye to Fuyuki before exiting the bedroom. After her grandparents left the house, Fuyuki stay in her bedroom for a few more mintues until she decide to go out. She stood up and heads to her close. Fuyuki took off her pjs and change into black pants with zippers, short sleeve black shirt, and white socks. She brush her hair a bit before grabbing her wallet, cell phone and tote bag and left her bedroom and house.

Rina is laying on her funton, in her apartment, looking over her notes for her English Lit Class. She is currently attending at Osaka Universiy. She should have been graduate by now, but she want to classes of French Lit, German Lit, and few other classes. As for Koichi, her 'boyfriend', she stop seeing him. Her main reason is because he was sleeping with other girls. So, Rina have her total attention on her school work. Then her cell phone began to ring.

"Hello?" Rina says to the caller.

"Hey Rina....." Haruka says back to her.

"Hey, Ruka. Whats up?"

"I just gonna let you know that your younger brother just dump."

"Wait.....do you know why?"

"Toshio kun just told me that he need some space....."

"Shit.....well, let me talk to him and I will call you back, alright?"

"Thank you so much, Rina san."

Rina says her goodbyes to Haruka before hanging up her cell. Rina puts away her books in the corner of her room. She then changes out her pjs and change into non sleeve red shirt, brown knee length khakis, and white socks. She grabs her cell, wallet, and purse before exiting her apartment. She walks a couple of blocks until she's at Toshio's 5 floor apartment building. She tooks the stairs to the third floor and heads to his apartment. She knock a few times and wait. Soon enough, Toshio open the door.

"Hi nee chan. Whats up?" Toshio ask.

"How come you broke up with Haruka?" Rina ask.

"She called you, didn't she?"

"Just answer my question, Toshio."

"Okay.....I broke up with Haruka because she became a stalker AND we haven't seen each other much for over an year."

"She is?"

"Pretty much yea. She kept texting me, calling me, and following me almost everyday."

"Maybe you should change numbers. Just to be safe."

"Got it. Should we tell mom about Haruka?"

"Don't tell them. Knowing them......they wull freak out or something...."

"True."

They talk for a few minutes before Rina says her goodbyes to her brother. Rina exit the apartment building and heads to the local shop. That is when she bump into Haruka.

"Hi Rina san. Did you talk to Toshio kun?" Haruka ask.

"Yes, I did. Please leave him alone." Rina says to her.

"Why?"

"Because you're a stalker. If he kept telling me that you're still stalking him, I will get the police."

"Fine then....."

Haruka quickly ran to a different direction. Rina let out a sigh and continue to walk to the local shop. Fuyuki is sitting on the bench at the local park when she sat Haruk running from the another girl.

"They may have a fight over a boy or something." Fuyuki thought.

Fuyuki then stood up and began heading to the clothing shops. In one of the shops, that is when Fuyuki bump into Rina.

"Gomen nasai." Fuyuki says to her.

"Its alright." Rina reply. "You look so pale...."

"Am I?"

"Yea. Sorry about the randomness."

"Its okay.....I guess."

"Anyway, can I buy you a milkshake?"

"Ummm......I should get get going. Excuse me...."

Fuyuki exucse herself and exit the shop. Rina simply shrug before looking around the shop. As soon as Fuyuki enter her house, she can her sister talking over a phone. She assumes that Sayuri is talking to her boyfriend. So, Fuyuki heads to her bedroom, close the door behind him, and began drawing. Around lunch time, Kouta, Etsuko, and Akira enter the house. Etsuko brought some food from the local resturant.

"Sayuri. Fuyuki. We brought some lunch." Etsuko says loudly.

As Etsuko place the food on the table, Akira and Kouta sat at the table. As Etsuko grab the plates and place them on the table, Sayuri and Fuyuki enter the kitchen. As they sat at the table, Akira spoke up.

"Did you guys behave?" Akira ask.

"I did, dad." Sayuri reply.

"Hai," Fuyuki answer meekly.

They ate their lunch quietly for 15 to 20 minutes. Once they finish, Akira heads back to work and Kouta heads to his bedroom and take his nap. Fuyuki help Etsuko with the dishes while Sayuri heads back to her bedroom and call her boyfriend. Once Fuyuki is finish, she excuse herself and heads to her bedroom. Etsuko joins her husband in their bedroom. Once Fuyuki close the door behind her and sat on her futon. She began to to think about Rina. Soon enough, she began to draw a picture of Rina. After a few minutes, she stop drawing.

"Why I would be drawing a picture of the stranger?" Fuyuki ask herself.

She then puts away the picture in her folder. When Monday came around, Fuyuki doodle during her morning classes. When lunch finally came, Fuyuki heads to the library. She grab a couple of books, sat at the table and began to read. After school, Fuyuki heads to her art for an hour before heading home. As she enter the house and took off her shoes, Sayuri came downstairs. Sayuri is wearing short sleeve light purple shirt, knee length brown skirt, and black socks.

"Hey Franky." Sayuri says to her.

"Hi nee nee. Where is ojiichan and obaachan?" Fuyuki ask.

"They left the note. It says that they are hanging out with their friends."

"Oh okay."

"They also left some money for us so we can buy some dinner for us."

"What about papa? Should we buy some dinner for us?"

"I guess yea. Anyway, wanna go right now?"

"Yea, but let me change first."

Fuyuki excuse herself and heads upstairs to her bedroom. She took off her school uniform and puts on long sleeve red shirt and red pants with chains. She grabs her tote bag and heads downstairs to meet up with her sister. Sayuri and Fuyuki exit the house and heads to the nearest supermarket. They brought couple of food items and drinks before heading to the cashier. Once they brought their dinner, they head back to their home. As they enter the house, Sayuri grabs her dinner and drink and heads to the living room and watch some tv. Fuyuki heads to the kitchen and puts away the extra food and drinks. She then grabs her dinner and drink and heads upstairs to her bedroom. The next day, before classes starts, Mika and Naoko walk up to her.

"Kurotani.......please come with us." Naoko says to her.

"Why?" Fuyuki ask.

"Just come with us." Mika stated.

Fuyuki stood up and follow Mika and Naoko to the girls' locker room. As soon as the door close behind them, Naoko slap Fuyuki across her face.

"Why you slap me?" Fuyuki ask.

"Because I felt like it." Naoko answer.

Mika then grab a water bottle from her locker, open it, and pour some on Fuyuki. The girls laugh a bit before exiting the locker room. Fuyuki heads to her locker and took out a towel to dry her hair. She then quickly heads to her homeroom. Fuyuki still refuse to tell her dad or grandparents about the bullies because they might get mad at her.

Rina get out her English Lit class, she became really hungry. So, she heads to the nearest fast food resturant and order herself some lunch. As she eating her lunch, Haruka walk up to her table and sat across from her.

"What do you want now?" Rina ask.

"Sorry to bother you, but did Toshio kun change his cell phone number?" Haruka ask.

"Why you need to know?"

"I just want to see if he's alright."

"He is alright, Haruka."

"Oh.....alright then."

"I thought he broke up with you...."

"He did.....but I still want to see him."

"As a friend right?"

"Yea....as a friend...."

Rina and Haruka continue to talk for a few minutes before returning to their schools and heads back to their classes. When Saturday came, Akira decide to take his daughters clothes shopping. When Akira told them over breakfast, Sayuri became really happy while Fuyuki stay neutral while eating.

"Franky, are you happy that dad is taking us for clothes shopping?" Sayuri ask as she and Fuyuki heads upstairs.

"Kinda....." Fuyuki reply.

"Whatever you say."

They soon enter their bedrooms and close the doors behind them. Fuyuki took off her pjs and change into black shorts with removeable skirt, red non sleeve shirt, and red socks. She grabs her cell phone and tote bag before exiting her bedroom. She met up with her father and Sayuri in the living toom.

Sayuri is wearing short sleeve bright green shirt, knee length bright red kahkis and white socks. She kept her hair as a high ponytail. Akira is wearing short sleeve navy blue shirt, black slacks, and black socks. His black hair is now goes to his midback and has to be kept as a messy ponytail.

Soon enough, three of them exit the house, went into the blue sedan car, and heads to the Amerika Mura. Once Akira parks the car, they get out the car and went to clothing shops. Its kinda rare for Akira to take his daughters for clothes shopping. Whenever he does taking them for clothes shopping, Sayuri will drag her dad to different shops and paid the clothes that she chose for herself. As for Fuyuki, she doesn't seem to care that her dad brought her some new clothes or not. Afterwards, Akira took his daughters for lunch before heading home. As soon as they head back home, Akira grabs his jacket and quickly head to work. Both Sayuri and Fuyuki heads to their bedrooms. Their grandparents are still not home yet.

When Sunday came, Etsuko is making breakfast as Kouta and Akira is watching some tv. Sayuri is awake, but she's in her bedroom, suring the net on her laptop. Fuyuki also is in her bedroom, drawing some pictures. When Etsuko call the girls, Sayuri exit her bedroom and heads to the kitchen. Kouta and Akira heads to the kitchen and joins Etsuko and Sayuri at the table. After a few minutes, Fuyuki enter the kitchen and joins her family. They ate in silence for a while until Kouta spoke up.

"Sayuri. Fuyuki. Are you going somewhere today?" Kouta ask.

"I am going to meet up with my boyfriend." Sayuri reply. "I will bring him over when summer vacation starts."

"About about you, Fuyuki?" Etsuko ask.

"I am going to Amerika Mura." Fuyuki answer.

"Why you need to go there again?" Akira ask.

"I just want to walk around....." Fuyuki answer once more.

"Alright then....just be careful...." Akira says to Fuyuki.

Once breakfast is over, Akira and Sayuri heads upstairs to their rooms and Kouta heads to the living room and watch some tv. Fuyuki help Etsuko with the dishes before heading to her bedroom. Etsuko then joins Kouta in the living room. After ten minutes or so, Akira, now wearing a suit, exit the house. Few minutes or so, Sayuri exit her bedroom and heads to the kitchen. She is wearing non sleeve pale orange shirt, knee length blue khakis, and orange socks. She talk with her grandmother for a few minutes before leaving the house too.

In her bedroom, Fuyuki continue to draw for a bit. Once she's finish, she stood up and heads to her closet. She change out her pjs and change into black shorts with purple checker skirt with retachable black legwarmers, black shirt with retachable arm sleeves, and purple socks. She then puts on her purple knit cap. She puts her sketch book, pencil, cell phone and wallet in her tote back before exiting her bedroom. Fuyuki says her goodbyes to her grandparents before exiting the hours.

Haruka manage to talk to Toshio in person last night. He took her out for dinner. While they ate, Toshio explains to Haruka that they are not a couple anymore. He also warns her that if she continue to harass him, his older sister, and his parents, he will tell the police on her. Haruka simply nod before they finish eating their dinner. Haruka is sitting on the bench near of the clothing shops for half an hour. She's wearing short sleeve pink shirt, blue khakis, and open toe 4 inch heels. She sat there for a while until she saw Fuyuki walk to one of the clothing shops.

"She look little bit like Toshio kun with her hairstyle." Haruka thought to herself.

She then stood up and quickly began following for a couple of blocks. Once Fuyuki enter the bookstore, Haruka approach her.

"Hi. Can I ask you something?" Haruka ask.

"What is it?" Fuyuki ask.

"Where you get your clothes?"

"I found this clothes from this area, but my dad would order some of my clothes online."

"Really? Well....did you ate lunch yet?"

"Not yet."

"Well, let me treat you. Oh......I'm Haruka."

"I'm Fuyuki."

Haruka took Fuyuki to the nearest sushi bar and ate lunch there. After lunch, they walk around Amerika Mura. Haruka try to hold Fuyuki's hand, but Fuyuki pull her away from her. That made Haruka pretty mad.

"You think I'm pretty, Fuyuki chan?" Haruka ask.

"What?" Fuyuki ask back.

"I am not repeating myself."

"Well.....I guess you are pretty...."

"You guess? That is a lame answer...."

"Sorry."

"Oi, Haruka. Please leave the poor girl alone." Rina says to her as she approach them.

Rina is wearing short sleeve red and gray strip shirt, black shorts, and black boots.

"Please stay out of this, Rina...." Haruka says to her.

"Then leave her alone." Rina reply back

Haruka let out a huff before walking to a different direction.

"Are you okay, kid?" Rina ask.

"Hai." Fuyuki reply.

"Please don't talk to her. She is little crazy."

"Got it."

"Anyway, give me your cell phone."

"Why?"

"So you can call me if that chick is following you again."

"Okay."

Fuyuki took out her cell phone and gave it to Rina. Rina put her cell phone and home phone numbers in Fuyuki's cell phone before giving it back to Fuyuki.

"My name is Rina."

"And I'm Fuyuki."

"I hope we can meet up again real soon."

Fuyuki simply nod and watch Rina walk down the sidewalk. She then quickly heads back home. As she enter the house, she found a note on the coffeee table in the living room.

Its says:

Fuyuki. Sayuri.
Your grandmother and I are going to meet up with our friends. We will be back around dinnertime. Don't worry about buying dinner again. We'll bring some dinner with us. Please behave.

"I guess I shouldn't tell grandma, grandpa, papa or nee nee about what happened earlier." Fuyuki says to herself before heading to her bedroom.
