For every person,

Who becomes my friend,

They are all part of my life,

And all of them mean something to me,

And each one of them has a life,

That has its ups and downs,

Just like my own.

In this world,

Where we lack true heroes,

Heroes that can change the world,

The smallest hero in your friend,

Can mean all the difference,

So among your friends,

Will one of them be your hero?

I won't call myself a hero,

I won't say I am perfect,

But ask me if I care,

About the small scratch on your knee,

Or about the fight you had with your bf,

Or about the death of someone close,

And I'll say, "I do!"

I may not be a hero,

But I won't abandon my friends,

I won't abandon my family,

And I won't abandon the ones I love,

Because I care,

So ask me again if I care,

And I will say. "I do."
