Chapter 6

When Alisa asked me what the reason was for me being cold to her when she moved back here I couldn’t exactly tell her why, she had asked me if her changing was the reason for it but I told her it was other reasons. I couldn’t exactly tell her that as a kid I liked her, a lot more than what she thought, where as now it’s slightly awkward because we haven’t seen each other or talked to each other since she moved.

“Damon, could you see if those customers need help?” my boss asked and pointed over to Alisa and Zacky.

“Uh, sure.” I responded and walked over to them. “Do you need help with anything?” I asked, seeing as that was my job and my boss wasn’t too far from me.

“Hey working boy.” Zacky greeted excitedly, like usual and then I guess he saw my boss not too far away. “Ah, uhm...do we need help?” Zacky asked, looking down at Alisa and I looked over at her, curious as to her answer.

“You do, but I don’t think the type of help you need comes from HMV.” Alisa commented.

“Actually, I believe we do need help.” Zacky replied and I looked over at him but he didn’t continue.

“Go on?” I asked and Zacky nodded.

“I believe we need to make her attitude disappear.” Zacky said, pointing to Alisa. “Oh, and your boss went in the back.” Zacky added in.

“Thanks,” I muttered. “And I can’t do anything about her attitude.”

“Sure you can.” Zacky responded with a wink.

“Zacky, no.” I said, knowing exactly what he was thinking of.

“Oh come on, you’d love it.” Zacky responded, again with a wink.

“Zacky,” I warned and he stopped talking.

“What?” Alisa asked confused, looking between Zacky and myself.

“I can’t say!” Zacky yelled and then walked away from us.

“Okay...?” Alisa trailed off confused.

“It’s best to ignore him.” I replied shrugging.

“It gets hard when you have to hang out with him though, doesn’t it?” she asked me curiously.

“Well-” I started but Zacky came back over and interrupted me.

“I guess it does get hard but somehow everyone manages to get used to it. I don’t get how Jace is used to it, yet somehow he is able to put up with me but he does tell me to shut up a lot but I think it’s in a loving way, at least I hope it is, even still though everyone seems to get used to it after a while, unless they fake it like Damon does, he fakes everything, like he told Amy he was in love with her a lot but really he was just faking it, for whatever reason he couldn’t stand her and I don’t blame him because she is a bitch and she’s always up to something...” Zacky continued on but I ignored him and looked over at Alisa.

“Do me a favour? Hit him?” I asked and she looked confused. “It’s the only way he’ll shut up and I can’t hit him at the moment.” I responded and Alisa nodded before she hit Zacky in the arm and he stopped talking. “Thanks,”

“Sure,” Alisa responded. “Hey, Damon?” Alisa asked curiously.

“Yea?”

“Amy, is she...determined, I guess?” Alisa asked quietly.

“Uhm, when she sets her mind to something she can be.” I replied and she nodded. “Why?” I asked curiously.

“It’s nothing really. Just when I went to get my salad today, while you and Alex were getting your lunch, she came over to me and said how I should break up with you or she’ll make my life a living hell. And then when Zack Attack was blabbing like an idiot he said something about how Amy’s always up to something, so I just got curious.” Alisa explained.

“Shit,” Zacky muttered and Alisa looked up at him confused. “It’s okay, really, we’ll deal with her, right Damon?” Zacky asked and looked over at me.

“Uh, right.” I responded. “Hey, I’ll be back.” I said and before either of them could reply I walked away and went to the back quickly. “I’m going on my break, alright?” I looked over at my boss and he just shrugged. I clocked out quickly and went over to Zacky and Alisa before motioning them to follow me. “What exactly did she say?” I asked Alisa curiously.

“She just kept saying that I should break up with you by tomorrow or she’ll make my life a living hell.” Alisa replied.

“And that was all?” I asked, making sure.

“Yea, she just rephrased it though.”

“Look, whatever happens, we’ll deal with it, okay?”

“Damon, why are you being like this?” Alisa asked confused.

“Amy, well when she sets her mind to something she’ll do whatever she needs to to get that thing, or person.” I replied.

“Yea, she’s deliberately broken up couples in love to get the guy she was after. She finds out something that one of them is humiliated by and she uses it against them. It probably doesn’t help that she knows Damon quit well now.” Zacky added in. “Damon and I will deal with her.”

“Look, it doesn’t matter. I can take her, there’s been thousands of people like her at my old school, I can deal with it.” Alisa assured us.

“Alisa,” I began but she cut me off.

“I’ll be fine.” She responded.

“We’ll be there to help then.” I replied and she nodded.

For the rest of my break we all just hung out.

By the end of the week Alisa had picked out the dress Zacky was supposed to wear and she also picked out a wig. It was hilarious when he walked into school on Friday wearing a pink wig that went down to his chin and then a dress that went to his knees that had pink flowers all over it. Zacky, Cory, Alisa and I were currently in our English class.

“Zacky, enjoying your outfit?” Cory asked, teasing Zacky.

“Totally!” Zacky enjoyed excitedly.

Now, the thing with Zacky, you couldn’t exactly tell if he was being sarcastic or serious at times.

“So, did you actually enjoy shopping with Zacky, or did you just say you didn’t?” I asked Alisa curiously.

“Honestly?” Alisa asked and I nodded. Zacky started glaring at Alisa and I couldn’t help but laugh. “Well, Zacky, I truthfully did like shopping with you, simply because it entertained me. Although, I couldn’t help but lie to get this out of the deal.” Alisa replied and pointed at Zacky.

“I hate you.” Zacky said seriously.

“No, you love me.” Alisa replied smiling at him.

“I knew you were gay but I didn’t know you cross dressed.” Chace said walking by us.

“Fuck off.” I responded getting up from my seat and I felt Alisa grab my wrist, trying to pull me down.

“I’d rather stay here and chat with you all.” Chace responded and then looked around me down to Alisa. “Hey babe,”

“What do you want?” she asked coldly.

“What are you doing with these losers?” he asked her and I looked down at her curiously.

“Well, I’m obviously doing more with them then you.” She replied.

“Babe, you should ditch them and come sit with me, I’m sure it would make class more entertaining.” He replied and winked at her.

“I’d rather pass. And please, don’t call me ‘babe.’” She replied annoyed.

“Slut’s are always better when they’re drunk anyway.” Chace responded and started walking away. Before I could do anything Alisa got up and then tapped Chace on his shoulder and he turned around, smiling at her. “Ah, coming back for more?” he asked and then Alisa punched him in the face just as Mr. Watson walked in.

“Alisa, go to the principal’s office, take your stuff with you.”

“With pleasure,” she muttered and grabbed her stuff before walking out of the class.

“Chace, get the hell out of my class.” Mr. Watson then said to Chace and he took his stuff and left. Alisa managed to punch him hard enough that his nose started bleeding.

“Gotta say, she knows how to punch a guy.” Cory said quietly.

“Yea, no shit.” I responded and Mr. Watson began his lesson.

A/N: New chapter! I don't think there's much to say about it, but yea. Anyway, I don't know when the next update will be, I'm thinking it will be after November though. Why? Because I'm participating in NaNoWriMo, a link to my profile is on my page where the "Homepage" link is. Yes, I know NaNoWriMo isn't for about another month, but here's the thing. From now until then I'm completely rewriting a story that I've been trying to figure out how I want it written since last NaNoWriMo. Yes, my NaNo of 2008 is being rewritten, again, and I'm hoping I'll be able to get it all rewritten before this November, so from now until then I will probably be working so much on that. However, I may or may not get an update or two before November for this story, if I don't then I'm sorry in advance and I will get a chapter up as soon as my NaNo has either 50K or 75K, depending on when I get it done and how early/late in the month of November I get it done, alright? For now, why don't you leave me a review? Maybe tell me what you think of Alisa punching Chace, hey?
