I Doubt It
I learned many things about the spiritual realm, about the spirits’ pains and feelings. With the guidance of my words along with Lucas, many spirits went to visit their loved ones and many fulfilled their lives and went to the light. Someday I would have to go to the light but I wanted to live again to be with my family that was still living. When Lucas and I walked into hospital to my body, Ann was there talking to me, well to my empty shell that is.
“I missed you, Jayne. Marcus missed you too. We both want you to come back to us. So we can fulfill our JAM of life. Besides I think JAM sounds better then AM.” She laughed to herself, Lucas and I too chuckled a bit. When I walked over to my body, I looked at Lucas one last time.
“My body is all the way in Vancouver so it might take me awhile to come here to town.”
“That’s okay as long you come. I’m happy.”
“Okay, my love.” He kissed me on top of my forehead. “I’ll see you soon.”
“Same here,” I said as I faced my body. “I just wished I have seen my relatives from heaven again…” I prayed.
As if my prayers were granted, I felt two angels embracing me. I cried, and finally I climb myself to the bed then laid there into my body.
That moment, Ann experienced my revival. Quickly Ann embraced me while I was still in pain. I kind of squealed as Ann took a hint and let go of me. “Jayne, I can’t believe it…you’re awake!”
“I know,” I smiled as I felt the cold presents of Lucas sitting on the bed with us.
That day, everybody celebrated my awaking. Many gave me, hugs and kisses. The one that gave me the biggest hug of all was Maxwell. He gave me, our first hug ever and it was such a great honor from a cousin like him. He had cared, everybody had cared. I have returned to the place I used to hate but now loved it. My mother was back into my heart, Marcus and Ann continued our JAM’s life, Cyan and I continued to be the closest friends, and my dog, yes my little terrier…ran up to me and gave me many kisses for me to remember him by. It’s been a month, living normally again. The events of the spiritual realm was never forgotten but never was told because I knew nobody would believe me expect Cyan.
When I return to school, many people greeted me, all worried and were comforting me; it was same day that Brad came up to talk to me. Cyan spotted us before we went to class. Cyan asked me what Brad asked for. I told her.
“Brad just wanted to say he’s sorry and he’ll do anything to make me happy, sort of thing.”
“Then what did you say?”
“I told him, you can’t. You can’t make me happy so don’t bother. Besides you are forgiven already.”
Cyan looked worried. “So what about Lucas…?”
I sighed. “I don’t know.” I said.
After that I waited, and waited…it been four months since I last seen Lucas and when I was in the spiritual realm. I became worried, maybe Lucas has forgotten about me…
While I sat at the school entrance, I pick up my coat, put it on and went outside. There in the snow was a person, with brunette hair and green eyes. My eyes widen to the unique creature that came up to me.
“Hey Jayne…” I smiled with tears in my eyes. “I told you it might take me awhile to come back here.”
I suddenly gave him a small punch on the shoulder. “You idiot…! I actually thought you weren’t coming back!” He smiled and begun to chuckle. “It’s not funny!” I replied then he embraced me.
“I know, I couldn’t take it either. My parents were a little obsessed of my awaking condition, let my body heal and regain its strength sort of thing.”
“At least they care,” I said with a smile, Lucas looked surprised.
“You’re right.” As he shuffled his head beside mine, he began to cry like me.
“Welcome back,” I finally said as we both cried happy tears on each other shoulders, searching for comfort and affection, we found it. After awhile we stopped crying as the cold of winter dried up our tears.
We looked at each other. “Jayne, I have a question for you.”
“Say it.” I replied.
“Would there be a day that you’ll let me go?”
I smiled as he waited patiently for my reply suddenly I gave him a small kiss to his lips that I could actually feel his lips with mine and I said.
“I doubt it.”
