A/N- Wasn't really sure aboutposting more on Shadow Cop seeing as it is going to be published into a novel and releasing the whole thing in public domain is in fact a stupid idea! Anyways, some background here. This story was given to me by Wade Jenkins (same dude who got The Drifter and gave it to me) and wanted me to write it. I left this story on my laptop and I was in the process of writing it about three years ago. The first version I wrote was expanding on the original by making it be a story of a little innocent devil girl being taken in by two normal people that are trying to keep her safe from the government... Really cutesy plot, but not what the story was capable of. So now I've taken a few plot points from the first and I'm going to try and make it into a much darker story. This one ain't going to be too long, but I'm still finishing it. I stopped writing my other project "The Brawler" for this and I hope you all enjoy. Warning, this story contains graphic content, satanic references, sexual content, and other things not suitable for children--like every story I've written!

Code Devil

Based off original story by Wade Jenkins

The day time sky was pale like a TV tuned into dead channel. The almost haunting sky left Dr Giovanni in silence as he stared up. Lost in a trans, he stared up towards the dark clouds over him with his blood shot eyes.

“My path, is it the righteous one?” asked Dr Giovanni. He stepped forwards and over to the metal railing on the edge of his observatory. The sounds of screaming behind him was still very faint over the waves of the ocean below. A serene feeling swept over as he grabbed onto the poles guarding the edge. A chill went up his arms. Above him he could see a flock of crows making their steady approach. They let out a collage of loud screeches—each as haunting as the last. The winged beasts landed on the railing before turning to face him. Dr Giovanni stepped up over the edge. “I am now free.”

“Max, please don't!” a faint voice screamed out. Dr Giovanni lifted his second foot up to the top of the guard rail before looking at the rocks beneath him. The clouds in front of him broke open. Sun light tore through the clouds rapidly as the wind began to pick up.

“Get off the rail!”

“I can see it already. We'll all come here someday. We will all fly away.” Dr Giovanni took off his trench coat, exposing the many scars beneath.

“You're about to get blown away!”

Blood crept its way out of the wounds, leaving a trace behind as he leaped forwards. The sky pulled upwards and away. He stared down below towards the rocks below him.

“Max, no!”

Marlene tried to run as fast as her little feet could carry her. The fear of death was present. Just yards behind her she could her growling from some wolf-like creature. It's roar was much louder—much deeper—than that of a regular wolf. As she twisted around a small curve, her heart froze as the massive wolf cut her off. It's entire face was stained with blood from it's last victims. Her first instinct was to turn around and run, but the creature had already begun to close in. Locked on and ready to kill, it got into striking distance before letting out a howl of pain. Marlene screamed in terror. The beast went silent before landing down in front of her. A geyser of blood spurted from it's spine, raining down on the two. Marlene covered her head and continue to scream frantically as the liquid soaked her clothes. Panic-stricken, the young girl opened her eyes once upon realizing that she was still alive. In front of her she could see that the beast had taken a new shape—a man. Her nerves suddenly calmed themselves as the fear dissipated from inside. Above her she could hear a sigh of relief from somebody else. Upon looking up, she could see the silhouette of a woman atop a limb. The figure turned away from her rather quickly before sprouting a pair of wings to make it's escape.

...

Jamie was trying her best to stay awake as her teacher made his way to the classroom. She folded both of her arms directly behind her head and closed her eyes.

“Ok,” Mr Brown declared upon entering the room. “sorry I was late class. I got caught up at the subway station.”

“Excuse me!” a student called out as she lifted her hand.

“Yes?” he replied.

“Am I in the right class?” the classroom lit up in laughter. The teacher laughed as he looked back at the girl. She had pale white eyes with black-hair. Out of the many students she just stuck out like a sore thumb.

“Wait a minute,” Mr Brown said as he turned back to his desk. “you're Rene, right?”

Jamie looked over to the new student casually. Even she thought that she looked odd. Then again every new student stood out.

“Yes.” the girl replied with a light response.

“Oh, well in that case maybe we should introduce you to the class!” Mr Brown exclaimed.

“It's ok,” Rene lowered her hand. “I just didn't want to be lost.”

Jamie leaned forwards, lowering her arms. She couldn't help but stare at Rene's rather shiny black hair. Rene turned away from the teacher and looked directly back at her. The two were silent. Jamie lifted her hand and casually waved before turning her attention back to the front.

“Well everybody, hopefully you all will accept Mrs Devils into your bunch.” Mr. Brown said before being cut off.

“The anti-Christ!” a student near the back cried out. Rene bent her head down after hearing his remark. More laughter ensued. Jamie turned back to the student with an angry look on her face.

“Jesus, it's no wonder you've never been laid!” Jamie exclaimed at the top of her voice. The boy's face went red once as the class busted out in chuckles.

“You can't prove that!” he snapped back. Jamie turned away from him before looking back to see Rene smiling towards her. She winked back to her before turning to the teacher finally.

“That's enough you kids.” Mr Brown said with a grin.

...

“Moving on now,” Mr Brown closed the book. “I really don't have anything else fro you today. We do have a minute. Does anybody have any questions?”

Not a soul spoke. He seemed a little surprised. Jamie wrote a couple more notes down with her right hand—or pretended to—while she flipped through her cell phone. Text messages had filled up her entire inbox within the small time frame of class.

“Well since nobody has anything for me I can't keep you. Oh yeah,” Mr Brown recalled the teachers meeting earlier. “I was in the teachers lounge earlier and we have to remind everybody to keep on the lookout for anybody suspicious on your way home. There's been a few people assaulted this week just trying to walk home.”

“Jamie, this one's for you!” Angie exclaimed with an extremely quiet tone. Jamie rolled her eyes.

“Shut up!” Jamie replied. She looked back towards Rene again to see that she was still looking at her. This time she actually felt a little intimidated. The bell rang.

“Ok you guys, you all make sure to get all your work done. Stay out of trouble and don't do drugs.” Mr Brown said finally. The group of students weren't hesitant at all about leaving. Jamie stood up and then looked over to Angie.

“A weekend off, finally!” Angie exclaimed. Jamie sighed as she looked down at her books.

“So what are you doing this weekend?” Jamie asked. Angie grabbed all of her text books and notes from off her desk.

“I'm going to a concert tonight.”

“Lulu's going to that show! I wanted to come along, but I just couldn't afford it,” Jamie said before walking with her to the door. “I want to take Paul to see the show. It might help him lighten up a bit.”

“You're still with that guy?” The two walked past Rene without even making eye contact. She eyeballed Jamie before looking down at her desk.

“Listen woman, you're dangerous to hang around and I just don't want to deal with any of this any longer. You can keep doing all your stuff with the gun business,” the man on the other line said quickly. “I just don't want to have it on my life.”

“Now come on, I thought guys liked to shoot stuff? Normally it's women complaining about guns.” Lulu said with a whimper.

“Not every guy is the same! I'm trying to become a doctor and you're constantly running around with some machine pistol in your coat. It's scary having guns around because guns bring trouble!”

“A woman has to defend herself!”

“Goodbye Lulu.”Lulu's eyes watered up as she heard her boyfriend—now ex—hang up. She tried to speak something quick, but it wouldn't have made any difference.

“But I got us concert tickets!” Lulu whined on. She grasped the phone and pushed it off the edge of the desk. The cheap electronic device shattered into pieces upon striking the linoleum floor. The rage built up. Lulu quickly lunged from the chair, coming feet first down on what remained of the telephone. With emotions flowing wildly, she jumped up and down on the tiny pieces, making them smaller. The things she did always seemed to have a negative impact on everybody else. Eventually she finally got worn out and quit stomping the phone. It didn't quite click to her just yet what she had done, but when it did she felt more down.

“Lulu!” She could hear Jamie's voice outside. The first thing that came to her head was trying to get the broken pieces of the phone off the floor, but it wouldn't be easily done. Instead, she just nodded her head and sat back down at her desk again. Jamie opened the door to the scene.

“Lulu, what did you do?” asked Angie once she got inside. She stepped past Jamie before seeing that Lulu was only crying.

“Hey Lou, what's that matter with you?” asked Jamie. Lulu lifted her head up and wiped away the tears.

“Oh it's nothing,” Lulu replied after wiping the last of the tears from her eyes. “just had to ditch that loser.”

“Oh you poor thing!” Angie said as she gave her a hug. Jamie bowed her head and sighed.

“Don't worry, you'll find somebody else really soon! You sure don't look bad, I can tell you that.” Jamie said to her finally. Lulu pulled Angie's arms off before standing back up again.

“I need to go to the store and get us a new phone.” added Lulu as she walked towards the broom.

“Well since you and your dude aren't together anymore did you ever wonder,” Jamie's eye lit up with glee. “who you were going to take to the concert?”

“Well,” Lulu said as she lifted her head up. “no I didn't. But I don't really want to see the concert now. I only bought the tickets because I thought I could cheer him up.”

“Why did he break up with you anyways?” Angie asked her.

“I have too many guns and stuff that goes boom. Every time I find somebody good they turn out to be a dirty damn democrat!” Lulu shouted.

“Now don't get political here, not all democrats want to take away our guns!” Angie said before scratching the back of her head.

“Fine, then hippie. It just gets on my nerves!” Lulu walked away from them and down towards the staircase. Angie and Jamie quickly followed her down the steps. “I never shot anybody who didn't have it coming! I'm honest!”

“I know you don't kill people Lou, but maybe the next time you meet a guy you shouldn't ask him to go shooting with you every two days.” said Angie.

“What kind of man doesn't like shooting guns?” Lulu asked them again.

“Oh yeah,” Jamie said as she rubbed her chin. “you got us there. Well every guy that dates you I guess!”

“Maybe I should turn lesbian. No bullshit, no more men, and no more hassle.” said Lulu finally.

“I'd totally be lesbian with you!” Angie exclaimed. The group made it down to the basement. Lulu fondled the wall trying to find the switch. She grasped the tiny mechanism and flipped it upwards. The entire basement was illuminated with the bright fluorescent lights above them, revealing the massive hallway of guns.

“Did you show him this too?” asked Jamie.

“A couple times,” replied Lulu. She walked over to the work bench which had a FAMAS lying down. It was in the midst of getting some tuning done, but Lulu was far from finishing it. “he didn't like my work.”

“I don't even like my job.”

“Me neither.”

“Hey you two, now that's not the way to think! We're special, and you should all know that by now.” Angie declared as she stepped in between them.

“I wont ever quit Angie.” Lulu said back. Jamie lifted up her hand before seeing her watch.

“I forgot, I gotta head out in a bit! Paul wanted me to meet him in the park at sundown.” said Jamie. Lulu nodded to her.

“Well since I wont be needing them you can take my tickets. I can't really sell them in the next two hours. You and Paul should go see the concert instead of me.” Lulu said quickly. Jamie smiled.

“I'd love to!” Jamie exclaimed.
