The Mask
Smile! She said,
A frown upon my face.
I smile, and she smiles back
But it means nothing.
The pain in my heart
Forces me to act.
It tells me that,
They don't need to know.
A smile is a mask;
A cover for true emotions.
It hides what we're feeling
So that no one can see.
No one really cares,
What your feeling inside.
Its just another weight,
Upon uncaring shoulders.
Authors Note: Based off of a true story from last week (Week of Aug. 31) Not a good week...
