My grandfather died. I'm just saying so you understand what it's about. I wrote bits at the funeral, and bits at the airport.

Last Time to Speak

I have not said hello
I have not said much
It's been a while since
Our hands have touched

Standing at your bedside
I'm alive while here you die
And this is the last chance
I can say to you, "hi…"

Words fumble from my lips
As I try to say my goodbye.
You take your final breathe.
And it's then I start to realize-

The questions I'll never ask…
Stories you will never share…
I've loved our time together,
Sorry I wasn't always there.
