Can you see me here?

Drifting to eternity

Upon this broken ship

Will I make it to forever?

I know I will not

For this river of time

Has no end

To my mortal eyes

And I feel infinitesimal

A drop in the river

Lost among the multitude

No different in overview

From all the other drops

And I am undone

By my own perception

But I always must remember

That even though this matter

That I so blithely call me

Will one day become another

Today it is me

And maybe

I was that single drop of rain

From a cloudless sky

That graced your face

For but a moment

A single entity of time

Where I was the only concern

I should be grateful then

For moments is all we really are
