Seeing stopped when the light shone too bright

From a source I thought to be your eyes

Blinded indeed

I accepted your hand in mine

Laughing as you guided me through my life

Drumming your fingers against my palms

That silently bled unnoticed

Until you turned to me with storming eyes

Darkness lurking in the sharp corners

That cut and teared my soul

And blood spilled from the wounds of my heart

Escaping to long-awaited freedom

You bound yourself to me with deceiving love

Shackled us together before I even knew who you were

What you were

A monstrous being licked the blood from my chest

With a tongue filled with gleeful words

Hissing and mocking my need for the light

You pulled me closer without caring

My struggles to weak to be my savior

My screams too loud to be acknowledged

You pressed your burning lips against mine

Draining my innocence through my breath

As I choked and cried silvery tears

The dark creeped through my trembling body

Anchoring my spirit to the stone surface

That was to be my ending

With blackened eyes you sacrificed my light

The shadows stroking me until I disappeared

Leaving nothing to be remembered

But the red that still stains the rock
