Silence haunts me to no end

Screams that drown behind my lips

In tiny sips

Never slips

Boney fingers, brittle hair

Tiny room with little air

Eyes that never taste the breeze

But I'm at ease

Downright pleased

Topless stairs and endless halls

Hands that reach and grab through walls

Blackened eyes from shadows stare

Find me there

Cold and bare

Drying, scabbing, burn and itch

Lick the wound and break the stitch

Faces flash and disappear

And leave me here

Laughing here

Crack a smile

Stay a while

Your demons have no doubt

Snap or mend

Break or bend

That in the end

Every light goes out.
