Believing

To believe in logic
Is completely illogical
To believe in reason
Is downright unreasonable
To believe in love
Will only arouse hate
To believe in peace
Will only cause conflict
To believe in hope
Only brings disappointment
To believe in others
Only brings broken trust
Well, what is there left to believe in?
With the whole universe out there,
Do you fear that I’ll say more
Till you believe nothing at all?
