Once upon a time...

But even though he couldn't see anything, he felt- knew- that this place was magical. And it was waiting.

...there was a writer...

He rapped his fountain pen against the desk, staring at the blank paper. He liked the way the paper looked, sitting so patiently, and just an improperly placed comma could ruin it.

...there was an artist...

Soft, tender strokes of the natural meeting the fantastical, but it had to look real. That was his style. A lot of people liked cartoon-style drawings, but he just couldn't get used to it.

Event Horizon

Coming November

Just a little preview of my NaNo '09 novel. :) The sentence in italics will be the summary, by the way. (Once upon a time, there was a writer; there was an artist; there was a light; and everything as we know it was in flux.)

I can't promise all these parts will make it in, but it'll be very similar.

Have some cake. :)
