I follow my own reality
A world existent in itself
A world unacknowledged, and yet—so real
Pushed away whenever it is felt
You know that it's not real
I know that you are wrong
I know that if I speak the truth
These thoughts would soon be gone
So you take me in
Ready to change me
To make me believe what I confess
Not only to make me
See the truth
But to know it, to believe it, nothing less
Then I'm told I am insane
Difficult to cure
The obvious absurdity of it all
Is left outside the door
As the coercion becomes more real
Reality starts to blur
And as I take a wild guess
I think I start to feel the cure
And I believe I'm finally
Easing the pain
With two and three and five
I believe that I finally
Have some control
Over this disobedient mind
At last I have learned
After all these crimes
To think twice before I think once
At long last I believe
That the truth rides
