Chapter 8: Fin
(Trinity’s POV)
Opening my pain filled eyes, all I saw was darkness just like in my horrible dream. However the pain was still there, I could feel my body shake and shiver as though I was drenched in water except everything was sticky. Trying to move I screamed in pain as I felt something burst through my skin. Clenching my fists and teeth I tried to keep myself from crying out, but to no avail…
“So I see our little princess is finally awake. Good, good we wouldn’t want you to miss the show (insert evil laugh).” Trying to turn my head I scanned for any source of light but found none until I was blinded by white. Inching away from the light I blinked several times before my adjusted.
“Hehehe…not used to the light are we?” Breathing heavily I glared at the dark blood eyed figure that stood above me.
“What do you…want…with me?” I asked through rigid breaths, when another thing burst from my skin causing me to scream louder. Looking around I tried to see what was happening to my body but my head was being restrained. The dark figure chuckled and snapped his “fingers” and a mirror like thing appeared above me.
“Is this what you wanted to see princess? To see what is causing you pain…” Looking up my eyes widened as my gaze landed on the mirror above me. My skin was fairly pale as several spikes were seen protruding from my arms and legs, avoiding any major arteries and veins that would cause me to die quicker. Covering my neck, wrists, and ankles were thick chains that restrained my body from any movement. The table I was laying on had several holes in which the blood drained into, when a spike protruded from my skin underneath the table were containers that waited to be filled with the blood that flowed off the table.
“Who…? Who are you?” Just then the Acura with blood red eyes stepped into the light and bowed mockingly.
“I’m surprised that you don’t remember your old friend Fin.” He looked as though he had been drowned in black ink as his skin was stained gun-metal grey; his once silver hair now jet black as his calm blue eyes now burned crimson. Shocked speechless I couldn’t believe what I was being told there was no way that was Fin, just absolutely no way. He smiled and stood up straight before walking up to where I was restrained and placed one hand on my cheek. Turning away I said nothing for several minutes before asking the most dreaded question of all time…why? He smiled wider before a frown appeared on his dark face,
“Why? Because we need your blood princess…YOU are the only one to free us from our curse.” Closing my eyes so I wouldn’t have to look at his black skin and evil red eyes; all the while the warm sticky liquid streamed from each wound and onto the table below. Shaking my head I refused to believe that this thing was my friend.
“Why do you call me princess? I am of no royalty so, why the nickname?” Fin chuckled,
“Because you are as precious as royalty my dear Trinity, why have you not asked what you are on or why I say I am your old friend?” Breathing deeply I tried to ignore the searing pain as my strength drained more and more. I remained silent, avoiding his questions as my eyes opened and starred into space.
“I have seen this device before and so I do not need to know something that I already knew.”
“And why no questioning of my identity, have you no doubt that I am truly your old friend?” Sighing I gazed at him, into his pools of blood and hate, to see through his tainted soul and come face to face with my denial of the one and only Fin. Redirecting my gaze to go past his head I sighed painfully as I accepted my denial and nodded slightly.
“I have no doubt that you were my friend, however what you have become still leads me to doubt your reasoning from treating your ‘friend’ this way.” Glaring slightly I watched out of the corner of my eye as a glare shown upon his face as well.
“You know why I do this Trinity? It’s because I love you, I love you so much that only the pureness of your blood can save me from the monster that is threatening to emerge.”
To the left another light came on to show several Acura standing before a capsule that reflected a hollowed emptiness that could never be filled. To the right, chains rattled as yet another light turned on and more Acura stood there with chains and thorned whips. Out of terror and fear my body visibly shook as a wave of heat crept upon my face as a fever broke out. Fin grinned and watched as my eyes darted around the rooms in a fit of panic, after several minutes the scream that I was holding back erupted from my quivering lips before I passed out. And the last thing I heard before I could hear no more was the sound of Fin’s hollow voice saying,
“Goodnight Princess…see you soon.” (Duh duh duh!!!)
