It Used To

It used to hurt

When you didn’t call

When you didn’t listen

And now I’m just

Numb

It used to burn

When you’d leave

When you’d come

But now all I feel is

Callousness

It used to sting

When the tears came

When the night came

Then, all that was left was a

Scar

And, it used to bleed

When I picked at all my mistakes

When I dug into my emotional wounds

But all that I dredged up left me

Paralyzed

It used to hurt

When all I gave didn’t come back

When all I showed was ignored

And now I’m left

Damaged
