Liar

~*~

I’ve been lying to myself

(There, I’ve admitted it)

Why can’t you see it too?

Did I really blur your sight that far?

Can you really see nothing of what I feel?

Is that really possible?

(Well is it?)

My heart keeps tracking on

That same song

(It’s skipping the important parts)

Again and again

And still, you don’t hear it?

Can’t you pay attention to those lyrics?

They’re just for you

(Always for you)

What about that taste on my tongue

(That acidic taste of unsatisfied lust)

Could it really just be me?

I see the knowledge

In a flicker of your eyes

(Like a camera flash)

But I put my head down

Rush past like I have somewhere to be

(Nowhere but with you)

Lies still intact

My admittance only in my head

(What can I say?)

I'm a good liar
