White flakes flutter
Gently out of the sky
Blanketing the town
In a quilt of white.

Silver slivers flutter
Spinning slowly to the ground
A kaleidoscope of colours;
Reflecting, shining, gems.

Gleaming shards flutter
Embracing winter
Sheltering from harm,
The never ending flakes.
