I was dreaming.
However, these idle fantasies will not rise to the occasion.
I woke,
And I breathed,
And I realised they were gone.
Arches rose above me as I walked,
Surrounded by chattering lips;
The eye of the storm,
Slowing, unhappy,
But not alone.

So I’ll smile through my teeth,
Follow,
Search,
Sigh.
I’ll close my eyes and remember balloons.
Then will I rise up,
Float away from this,
Then will I peacefully be
Dreaming.
