My first on the site. This was actually written for a class of mine. And I decided to post it up. Eh...... O/////o I feel like this was written pretty well, but it might be thought of otherwise. Sorry for any errors or awkward parts. It's really bad though because I didn't edit nor rewrote it.
Elailope
It was addiction rather then obsession.
Apollo knew so but he still couldn't place a finger on why he still did what he did. Always peering down at the woman. Sometimes that little pang of shame hits him. Just sometimes. Feeling deeply attracted to someone was normal for the gods but someone of his own temple was a naught on his part. Did he know anything about her? Zeus, no. Did he feel like he want to? With doubt. But the sun-kissed god knew all he needed to know; he was attracted to the priestess named, Elailope.
On one day, when Helios brought his chariot high up in the sky, Apollo decided that he's had enough of the squirrel games he's been playing with Elailope. Always having to watch her from afar and wonder, wonder deep within him, why he could be attracted to the sharp eyed, snake tongued, beaut that is a part of his temple. Despite what he thinks of her, Apollo knows that Elailope has a charm to her. A certain charm that caused the sunny god to morph his shape into that of a rugged looking youth and appear in his own temple. All just to sate his feelings of confusion for the priestess.

Elailope threw the swatch in her hand aside and let her green eyes soften. The young girl sat up and let the chiton fall over her bottom as she straightened her under clothes. Elailope just sighed as her young student stand there with a red face. “Will you ever learn, Agaena? Do not always make me do this in Apollo's presence.” Agaena glanced at her mentor through the long lashes on her eyelids. Her eyes shot back down when she caught the eyes of her mentor. Nodding numbly, she gingerly wiped away her tears. She sniffed a bit but then felt a hand on her head. “Child, learn to watch your tongue.” Elailope chided, “we priestess need not forget, but forgive.” Agaena looked at the older woman and wanted to argument with her but she was interrupted. “That boy,” Elailope started promptly when she noticed Agaena opening her mouth, “Orion, was it?” Agaena knew better then to speak now. She looked away from her teacher and looked at the ground. “Lets just hope the poor boy doesn't run into Artemis in the woods.”
Elailope smiled.

It was late but Agaena wanted to look anyways.
She quietly stepped out of her room, but then slams the door. Panicked, she looked down the halls of the white temple. Cleared, she continued to the main hall, where the only exit was. Finally in the hall, pillars away from the main door, she paused. Hearing a slight hum and then wood being hit together, Agaena peaked around the pillar she was behind. All she did was gasp from shock.
Elailope hummed to herself, while letting the wooden ladle clack against the wooden bowl. It was her turn for the nightly rituals and she was getting wearied out. Then she picked up a stick of incense, and set down the wooden objects. She held it to her face before lighting it slowly. Sitting, she tried to pick up the bowl again but only to be cut from it.
Agaena leaned back into the pillar, not knowing whether she should continue her quest or not. “What are you doing, maiden?” Agaena yelped from the shock of the voice from the handsome young man approaching her. Too scared to speak, Agaena nodded. The young man smiled and for some reason, those pearly rows of white charmed Agaena into a puddle of water. “What is your name?” Agaena boldly asks the youth.
“Apollux.”

Apollo laughed to himself.
He was amused with the young girl in front of him. Being the God of Art, he let his eyes roam the piece of work that belonged to the girl. His green orbs roamed over her the young girl's body. He felt quite pleased with the development of the girl's body. He may not know her but he will, sooner or later. He saw out of the corner of his pseudo-iris that the priestess, he's been so infatuated with, was coming towards him.
Agaena was shocked and couldn't believe how handsome this man really was. Apollux. His name contrasts with his looks. Agaena felt like slapping herself when her eyes roamed to the aisle besides her. Elailope shook her head at her young student, who was simply eying the young man slowly. She felt a bad vibe from the young man. Almost sneering at the look that he gave her.
“It is not polite to introduce yourself and not have the person return, miss.” The youth says and Elailope looked at her student expectantly. Agaena caught her mentor's eyes and gulped before replying smoothly, “My name is Agaena.” Elailope sighed and felt her eyes harden. Her young student that she took her time to nurture and raise, was giving her name to some stranger. “What do you want, boy?”
Apollo maybe was smiling at her, but truly, he was scoffing at the priestess. “I came here for nothing more then a prayer to the gods,” He smiled. Standing right in front of her, he couldn't help but to wonder why he was attracted to this sharp eyed beauty. He felt for sure that someone like Ares, his brother, would be attracted to her. Whatever it was, he was going to find out. “Which god is this, may I ask?” Apollo smiled charmingly and bowed. He didn't see it but he knew what her reaction would be. Her eyes grew wide with anger and she fisted a handful of her chiton. Agaena, who was still there, gasped and glanced at her teacher in confusion. A minute past before Elailope closed her eyes and breathed a deep breath. Opening her eyes, she glared at him.
“You are in the Temple of Apollo.” She answered. “Oh?” Apollo played. Agaena stayed quiet, feeling like this is a time in which a clumsy person like she shouldn't ruin. Apollo smiled cockily on purpose. Not understanding any of his gestures, the two priestess gave him a rather mortified look. “What is your real purpose, fool?” the agitated priestess asked Apollo. Cocking a beautifully arched eye brow, Apollo smile. “Well, to pray, my dear priestess.” He teased. Agaena was confused.
“Nonsense. When has there been a single soul that walks in a temple without knowing the patron god or matron goddess? So, I ask again, fool, what is your purpose here?” Apollo at this moment felt compelled to smite her but didn't because if he did, he wouldn't be able to find out why his attraction was so deep. Apollo decided to play with the fire in this game. He laughed. “You've caught me, my dear priestess.” He says, crossing his arms across his chest. “Now what do you want?” She asks, so boldly does it go. She was truly a brave woman, Apollo concluded. Playing even more dangerously, he replied, “To have you.”
Agaena, shocked, looked at her teacher in a new found stupor.
“You ignorant fool! Have you no shame? Walking into the sacred Temple of Apollo and demanding such a request from his priestess? You are truly an ass.” She fumed. He felt his eyes harden on her. Apollo felt even more repulsed at her attitude but his attraction got deeper. “I? An ass? My dearest, have you been hallucinating? This world has people like me and those people might just be in the temple. Besides, my talent for bed is better then others.” Apollo pressures, believing that the only way he can rid himself of these disgusting feelings was to bed her. Elailope glared more.
“And what talent will that be? Talent is never a given but something you earn. And even if you have earned the talent, you must know who it effects. But you, boy, are an insolent fool that will even bed a scared priest. God or no, you should know that this is wrong.”
As Apollo listened to her give her monologue, he finally figured out his attraction to her. It wasn't her beauty. It wasn't her wit. It was her inability to leave the world as it is. She's always having to change someone to make the world better and even so, she does, despite what the person wants. Listening to her talk for so long, Apollo let his form shifted a little bit.
Elailope, who stopped talking, saw the shift in appearence. “Apollo?” She called to the god. Apollo smiled in response. Before Elailope could talk to him, Apollo had lifted his hand, ready to smite her but instead, Elailope fell forward. Looking back, he saw his sister at the entrance with her bow drawn. “Artemis!” Apollo yells, angry at his sister for killing her. “Be quiet, brother. This witch sent a man after me in the woods.” Artemis spat from the door.
Agaena gasped. Orion, she thought. The group that Orion and his friends were in went into the woods. Orion must have ran into Artemis. Before Agaena could ask her an explanation, Artemis ran off. Apollux glared at the empty air before looking at Agaena. Then he suddenly started to walk out and almost fade away. Agaena was left in the open room. Dazed, she looked around herself. Only to shriek when she saw her teacher on the ground.
