Crumbs From OurTables

I know there are

People in this world

Who would kill

To have

The crumbs from my table

Because they’re that hungry

It pains me to throw away these things

But who is going to eat them

There is no way

To transfer leftovers

To Africa or China

So I hate the crumbs from my table

What I hate more

Is when I see

KFC, Taco Bell or MacDonald’s

Tossing out perfectly good food

Because it’s been sitting to long

Which translates to

About three hours

I don’t know what to do about it

I wish there was something I could do

But

The crumbs from tables

Just keep adding up

And we could have enough food

To feed a country in Africa

But,

There’s no way to do it

I just wish there was

The crumbs from our tables
