This is the sequal to my story "Murder" you don't have to read that to understand that, but it is recommened. Another thing, the updates might be a bit slow, I tend to get writer's block a lot. Sorry.

“Good morning Miss Delco.”

She looked up to see her secretary smiling at her. She smiled back.

“Good morning Lydia, are there any messages that I need to listen to?”

“None that are terribly important Miss.”

“Thank you, I’ll be in my office if I’m needed.”

“Of course Miss.”

Seidra Delco, a very important person to the Bryn cooperation. She had worked hard to get where she was, especially in only a few years. Five years to be exact, it had been a long, hard five years. But she had made it, finally.

“Miss Delco, Mr. Bryn is on line two.”

“Alright thank you Lydia.” She picked up her phone. “Hello sir.”

“Seidra good morning, how are you?”

“Good morning, I’m fine sir and you?”

“Just fine, I wanted to remind you about the party tonight for my daughter.”

“Of course sir, how could I forget that? It is after all her 16th birthday.”

“Yes, she’s looking forward to seeing you there.”

“Right sir, I’ll be there don’t worry, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

“Good Seidra, goodbye now.”

“Goodbye sir.” She hung up the phone and sighed. She did want to go, but she didn’t at the same time. It was after all just going to be a bunch of stuck up rich people going on about their pathetic lives. Seidra preferred to stay away from all that; she liked living simply not completely over the top. She sighed and sat back in her chair. The only reason she was going was because of Mr. Bryn’s daughter, Jazz, to support her. Jazz didn’t like all this high life stuff either. Maybe that was why the got along so well. Even if she was turning 16 and Seidra was 24.

Seidra looked over her schedule for the day; she had a lot of meetings. As much as she liked her job she hated the repetitiveness of everyday. It was just like when she was in school, up until tenth grade that is. That was when things had changed for her, things had become…fun. She had finished school, but not the way most people had. Seidra smiled to herself, things had become interesting after that day. She thought about her family who she hadn’t spoken to in five years. She laughed a little as she realized she had completely dropped off the radar of her old life. No one knew where she was, no one.

Seidra looked at her clock; it was almost time for her first meeting. She got the papers she needed ready and started towards the boardroom. As usual she was one of the first people there. Once everyone was there it was announced that an executive from another company they we’re working with would be arriving shortly.

After ten minutes they walked though the door.

“Hello everyone, sorry I’m late. I’m Liz Tomas.”

Seidra looked up from the papers she had been reading. She looked right at into her eyes. They’re eyes locked for about 5 seconds.

“Good morning Miss Tomas.” She looked away.

“Good morning.”

“Allow me to introduce Miss Delco, the one who planned this project.”

Seidra stood up and shook Liz’s hand. They’re eyes locking again.

“Just call me Seidra please, nice to meet you Miss Tomas.”

“Nice to met you too, and call me Liz.”

“Well…Liz, I look forward to working with you.”

Liz paused for a moment.

“As do I, Seidra.”

The two sat down and meeting began. It went for three hours. Once they we’re finished Liz went up to Seidra.

“Seidra, since we’ll be working together a lot, how about we go get lunch together?”

“Sure, just give me a second I need to go to my office.”

“Alright, I’ll wait for you by the elevator okay?”

“Okay.” Seidra left the room and headed towards her office.

Liz Tomas, she was famous. She was a very successful business woman much like herself. Everyone who hadn’t been living under a rock knew what had happened to her when she was younger. She had been a murder target, and the murder had almost been successful. The infamous Janie Parks had been the one to nearly kill her.

Janie Parks, she had only been fifteen. Seidra had been the same age when it happened. Janie Parks had killed 13 people, almost 14. Seidra remembered the words Janie had said after her sentence…that she would kill Liz. So many people doubted that she would ever get out of prison, but she did. After six years in prison she had been released, on something like good behavior and that her mental instability was taken care off.

She wondered how Liz had felt when she had heard about Janie’s release. They had been best friends up until she had tried to kill her. She should ask her. Even if it was insensitive, Seidra hadn’t gotten to where she was by being sympathetic and kind.
