The Woes of A Writer
Author's Note: Silly little thing I wanted to post to see other peoples reactions.
In the life of a FictionPress writer,
There are some days that just plain suck.
Doesn't matter if you're a love guru or gang fighter.
A day like this is like being run over by a truck.
It starts when you get a bad review,
Happens to everyone, of course,
But your ego is officially knocked down a notch, or two.
Or maybe ten, because (geez people it's my blood, sweat and tears you're insulting!!) you think your day can't get any worse.
Then it goes on, you have a few grammar mistakes,
And it seems Microsoft Word is particularly bitchy today,
Aren't you supposed to put an apostrophe in 'sakes'?!
Then your computer shuts down and you can't (stop swearing) find anything to say.
While trying to boot it up,
And crying over lost stories,
You spill an innocent (evil) cup.
And end up (being hysterical) with stain worries.
As you vow to one day make viruses and Norton Security pay,
You have the need to write a (gruesome) death scene,
But your favourite pen was accidentally thrown away,
And you're not quite sure if you can get away with ripping out a certain idiot's spleen.
Oh the woes of a writer,
They're truely very (homicidal) rash.
Maybe you can find that missing lighter,
And burn all your documents to ash.
But tomorrow will be better,
You'll find your plot's missing link!
And the computer will co-operate with you.
......Well, I think....
