* Hey everyone! This was my first original story that I posted on here. It was originally titled, ‘October Eyes’. I had chosen to discontinue it due to lack of reviews and because at the time, I was writing three stories all at the same time. Two of which are on fan fiction. I have decided to return to this story after much careful consideration and because now that it is October, and ghosts and demons are prominent figures for this time of year, it might receive more reviews, if the right people get into it. So I’m going to now start the story and I hope you guys that are reading this right now really enjoy it.

The first time I met Joanie, I was riding my bike down her street and saw her standing on her porch.

What made me stop was not Joanie’s beauty. No, she wasn’t a fairy tale princess. She was rather plain-looking, with lanky brown hair and brown eyes that held no fervor of life in them.

No, what made me stop was the fact that although it was a frigid October morning, She wore a black dress made of thin material.

What also struck me odd was the fact that she wasn’t shivering.

Then I saw her lifeless eyes staring at something beyond the street, possibly beyond our entire world.

I approached her, thinking I could get her to go back inside.

As soon as I touched her shoulder, She fell backwards and began twisting her body this way and that, letting out shouts of pain.

Scared to wake the neighborhood, I pounded on her front door. An elderly man and woman ran out and grabbed Joanie by her hands and feet and carried her that way into the house.

All the while, Joanie shouted and cried in pain. At one point, her eyes found me and those eyes will forever hold me to that fateful October morning.

* I know it’s short still but I intended it to be that way. I’ll explain more about Joanie and our main character who I have yet to rename in later chapters. So I hope you’re interested and will continue to read this because I believe it’s a good story. It has potential. So if you please, just leave me any review or comment about this story. It would mean the world to me. Thanks for reading. Have a happy haunting!
