the end.
by thursdays and rain
102309

if heaven was just another catastrophe
then i'd gladly steal your heart again
and render you broken.

your cruel lips smile towards the moonlight,
a constant reminder of the truth
of who you really are.

the heartless look so beautiful in
the twilight like dead fireflies adorning
the sky and the silence plays a tune
reminding me of melancholic illusions and
dreams intertwined in the horizon.

if heaven was just another one of
my selfish nightmares then i’d gladly
destroy myself and offer my soul to you.

unworthy i may be,
i still hope that
to be with you is
my destiny.

if heaven wasn't even real then
i'd believe in you still
and as long as you're here
in my lucid moments
then please promise me infinity
and keep on holding onto the stars
and chase rainbows with me until
they slowly slip away from our fingers.

and if this is heaven then this is the end of words.
