Oh wow......my very first story! Well, original story. I write mostly fanfiction, so this is the first time I've got an original story all typed up and everything.

Runaway

Chapter One: Taking Flight

November 25th, 2008 – Tokyo, Japan

“Come on, move it!” a girl of about fifteen said to her eleven-year-old companion. “We have to get out of here before the guard shows up!”

“Y-yes, onee-sama!” the younger girl said. Both girls had long black hair and dark eyes, indicating them as sisters. Each girl had a sack of things on their backs, though the older girl had a distinctly bigger and heavier one. But it didn’t deter the older from getting her younger sister over the giant wall before climbing over it herself.

Once outside, the older girl grabbed her sister’s hand and began leading her out of the strange neighborhood with the giant castle thing.

It had been the bane of their existences, and now they were leaving it behind. Not like their parents would care – they had the girls’ older brother, Gakurei, to carry on the family line. All they – or rather, their father, as their mother was a mindless drone – cared about was getting the girls married off. And that was why they had to leave. It had been in planning for a few months, too, and now…

“Shizuka-oneesama!” the younger girl said. “Where are we gonna go?”

“Well, Anzu, anywhere but here,” Shizuka said, guiding her little sister out of the area. Soon, they’d made it to a busy Tokyo street, and Shizuka allowed Anzu to rest for a bit.

“How long is it going to be before we don’t have to run anymore?” Anzu asked.

“I really don’t know, little sister.”

“Onee-sama, how did you put this all together? It must have been hard.”

“That, Anzu, is a very good story.”

“So?”

“Well…”
