Golden strands twirled down

With beads and pearls intertwined

Creating a halo that shone

With blinding perfection

.

With a smile brighter than light

And a heart that beat for love

She wove a world of joy with truth

Unaware of the rebelling lies

.

Her jeweled eyes were innocent

As they looked upon humanity

With a love so unconditional

She could never be one of them

.

Men worshipped her like a goddess

Looking up at her beauty in awe

But the hearts of men are fickle

And easily swayed by doubt

.

Wistful unfulfilled hopes

Turned into hollow despair

As lies carefully manipulated minds

Piercing through the web of truth

.

Jealousy spread through volatile souls

That cried out at professed injustice

Screaming about the unfairness

Of her preserved perfection

.

She stood and watched with sad eyes

As they took up there weapons

Snarling and growling in disgust

As they bound together her hands

.

She remained silent through it all

Accepting their false accusations

With kind understanding eyes

That only caused more anger

.

In blind rage they broke her body

Defiling her shining spirit

And as a scream tore from her bleeding lips

The world began to change

.

Lies buried themselves

In confused, fallible hearts

Fueling resentment and fury

Until her love was forgotten

.

She left the horrid destruction

For a perfect world far away

And mankind wallowed in hate

Her love but a phrase in story
