Angry Flame

By: Brenli

Light my candles

Watch them burn

See the wax melt

And my eyes flash.

You dare to leave me?

After all the times we’ve shared,

And the secrets we hold silent?

After all my time trusting you,

In the blink of an eye it’s ended?

What the Hell did I do?

Since when did I hurt you?

Do not tell me my teases hurt you.

You are too fuckin’ weak then.

If you can’t handle me you won’t be able to handle much.

But if you wanna be a God-fearing bitch

And play the game of hypocrisy,

Then be my mother fuckin’ guest.

Be just like them and have your church-like fun.

Go preach the Lord’s fuckin’ word.

I will sit here with my candle.

Yes, curl up beside my candle,

And feed its flames.

Watch the candle burn.

See the flame rise.

Look at my anger leave in the gray curls of betrayal,

Look at them leave and rise to the sky.

And when the fire is done and there is nothing left but ashes,

Watch my heart darken.
