No Life
By: Brenli
No life
She lies in her tiny bed
In the wee hours of the morning.
She hates the pictures lingering about the bed but she accepts them,
Knowing that it is all a part of her life,
A life she refuses to believe in now.
Watch her leave
She sits demurely in a large dark chair and thrusts herself into another world
Oh, she’s not her anymore, but a goddess! Look at her!
No longer a pity
But a worthwhile lady of the Wired.
Look at her…
Sick of the life in the flesh she opts for the life in wires
What good does it do when a body calls for sleep?
Yes, a body calls for sleep but she still types away…
Without a life,
Without a soul,
And all along she’s wanted it that way!
How much longer can she last before her face turns green?
Because her fingers are still flesh and long for rest,
And when she opens up her eyes and stirs toward her mirror
She will see a reflection of flesh, surrounded by said pictures of her life
A life she refuses to believe in now and forevermore.
