Spring Snow
Come my dear, to the window and see the world
bathed in snow. Five inches thick of
virginal white hide from sight where it goes from
grass to ground, green to brown.
The Acer appears as if covered in thick white
blossom, and the bird house looks like a mini ski chalet on stilts.
Small square dips curve, following the S of a path.
The bluebells are hidden, and the pansies buried,
all that can be seen in this most unusual sight are the
vivid red petals of tulip heads in a sea of
pristine white.
