Authors Note: I wrote this poem for a Church Service back in February last year, and when I heard about this site I thought I'd give it a try. I normally stick to writing stories, but now and then the odd poem might be added - we'll see. Anywho, I hope you enjoy reading it and please let me know what you thought.

If The World Was Perfect

If the world was perfect
Then we wouldn’t get things done
It would all be done for us
Life would be no fun.

If the world was perfect
With no poverty or disease
There’d be nothing there to challenge us
No death or war – jut peace.

If the world was perfect
Then we’d all get along,
We’d not cry over heartbreak,
Relationships stand strong.

But the world just isn’t like this,
That’s what we want it to be
Imperfections make us stronger
Make us face reality.

God didn’t say it’s perfect
But he looked and said ‘It’s good’.
He gives us daily all we need,
Our life, our health, our food.

We can’t ignore the blemishes,
They’re all part of us.
For God’s world we should be grateful,
We must share and show his love.
