I am connected to the darkness,

As its black cloak surrounds me,

Keeping me safe,

Yet showering with danger.

I am connected to the lightning,

The energy flowing through me,

Giving me the strength I need,

But dying out when all gone.

I am connected to the flame,

The burn of its touch,

Warming me in times of need,

But hunting me for my death,

I am connected to the frozen water,

Chilling me to the bone,

Telling me to hold back and think,

But pushing me forward too.

I am connected to the rain

That falls when I am down,

But bringing others to life,

Letting us live forever.

I am connected to the rocks,

True example that beauty,

Can be in other the inside,

Or the outside of someone.

I am connected to the breeze,

That let’s me fly to my dreams,

Letting my thoughts float,

As I stare into its invisible body.

I am connected to nature.

The one that supports me,

For the good and the bad,

Letting me live with my hope.
