Remembering Autumn

I'll never forget the day that you came into my life. You weren't even born yet and I knew that I would love you with all my heart.

I'll never forget the day I first saw you. Just a blur on a screen, but the most beautiful blur that I'd ever seen.

I'll never forget the night that you were born. Mommy wasn't feeling well all day. Little did we know that you were on your way!

I'll never forget standing by your mom's side. I could see your head coming! I was never so excited in my life!

I'll never forget when you came into this world. I cut your cord and made you my own.

I'll never forget how I felt when I first held you. This tiny miracle, who would always need me, so fragile.

I'll never forget how it felt when I took you and mommy home. I knew that my life would be full. I would be there whenever you needed me.

I'll never forget how I felt when you and mommy came to live with me. I was so proud of our little family. I thought I was in Heaven!

I'll never forget the day you took your first steps. I helped teach you that! I was important in your life!

I'll never forget when you said your first word. It was Dada. I knew that I was. I would always be your daddy.

I'll never forget all the good times that we had. Getting messy with food or playing Hide and Seek.I always had fun with you.

I'll never forget when mommy took you and left. I was devastated. I cried so long, never understanding what I had done.

But, I just needed you to know, I'll never forget about my baby. And, I will always love you.
