Come Home

By Joshua Rittenhouse

09/19/06

I don't know where you are.

I don't know what you're doin'.

I feel like I've been used,

my whole life is in ruin.

You said all the right things.

You always made me believe.

Now I found out all your lies,

Your only want, to deceive.

Now you'll probably be mad,

reading all these sad words.

But maybe you won't be,

they may go unheard.

Why weren't you honest?

Why make me feel right?

Why did you say "I do",

then disappear from my sight?

The best I can do

probably won't be enough.

I'll try to stand tall

even when going gets tough.

And I'll wait for you here

because this is OUR home.

I hope it's not long,

I don't wanna be alone.
