i went to a box where i ate but cereal
when the sun was perky and the guts were cold
in my lungs and full as i walked
beside all other vehicles push on, push on

and i was wet by arrival so i was dropped
into the bowl and made soggy for the school oh
i like their ugly skin i do,
i do, please

and now the sun is not morning
so i am open and boxed again but warm
my body feels one
my body feels one and the sun is away

and i walked
this morning but today might have been lost

i called its mother she sounded sick
the sun has a mother who answers my calls
in the night

i came lost to a clearing lush and open
tried to kiss me and take me into the suffocating
blue sky too broad i was hungry
for the tender green of youth and clarity
and found i had no room in my lungs for more guts
