Ah, technology

And the wonders

It presents to society.

When asked what time it is-

The struggle to open ones phone

When an analog clock

Is right behind you.

Too bad.

You don’t know how to read one.

When talking to someone-

Can’t hear

Your music is up too loud.

Can you speak louder?

When desiring to keep in touch with someone-

You want to,

But you can’t,

Because they don’t have a screen name.

When writing a research report-

You rush to the computer

Only to find

That the only thing about lightning

Is lightning

On Jupiter.

You’re hungry-

But alas.

Your microwave

Is broken.

You need to get out of the house-

Only to find that

Your car is in for repairs.

You need to talk to someone-

But oh darn,

You just dropped

Your cell phone

In a full glass of water

And now it won’t work.

You wan to see what is going on in the world-

But your TV has a hole through the screen

Because you put your foot through it

When your favorite show was canceled.

You’re thirsty-

But the soda machine

Is out of order.

You never want to go back and read this-

Good.

Your computer

Is broken.
