It’s another rainy afternoon at Saitama.

While Akio was walking home then he saw again this cute girl in the other lane of the sidewalk. He often sees her standing up in the middle of the rain, no umbrella & just looking up to the dark clouds dropping water drops from the heaven. Akio wants shade her but his cowardly feelings hinder his move.

“Fujishiro Akio, 19 years old, Medical Student at Sai-IkaDai, still has a rat on his chest? Akio you can do it! You ca-…”

He suddenly stunned because the girl fainted. He rushed to the other side and carries her. He opened her bag and found her ID.

“Makino Amaya… What a beautiful name… No, no, no! Not her name! Her address!”

Akio reached Amaya’s house, he saw her father worried.

At her room…

“Do you have aspirin? She has a high fever.”

His father is just stared at him

Akio, still in panic, “Please!”

“Why are you in my house?”

“I’m sorry, but this is an emergency your daughter was soaked for a long time. I’m a medical student, so I must do my practice.”

“I know and I’m your professor, Fujishiro…”

Fujishiro shocked when he saw his professor, Dr. Makino.

“Gomen nasai, Sensei, Sumimasen.”

“It’s okay. Thank you for rescuing my daughter.”

The next day, at Sai-Ikadai

After Dr. Makino’s class, Fujishiro talked to him at the hallway. “Is she okay now?”

“Yeah she’s fine now. So, you have some interest on my only daughter?”

“No! I’m just concerned at her health.”

With a thumbs up and a sparkling on his eyes, “It’s fine, my number one student dates my precious princess… Kawaii! I’m voted for you two!”

Then suddenly, the sun shines very strong creating a heat wave.

“Why it’s so very hot all of a sudden?”

The professor smiled when he saw his daughter behind them.

With a pinkish face, “Papa, you forgot your bento.”

“Arigatou.”

The professor took their hands together, “Fujishiro tour her around the campus? I’ll leave you for a while.” Then he whispered Akio, “Confess now or I’ll flunk you!”

“What?!”

They both blushed as the sun shines brightly as they walk.

“Uhm...Thank you for saving me yesterday Akio-san”

“Yu- you know my name?” Akio’s beating faster.

“Papa told me everything. Buh-by the way, I’m Amaya, 17.”

“This heat makes me so nervous; I know the perfect place to chill out”

“Sorry.”

“Why you’re apologizing about? It’s ok.”

Akio had a conversation while walking but still Dr. Makino’s words still ticking on his head until they reach an old tree. This is the place where he wants to confess with a girl he likes.

Akio said to himself, “I’m here now, Akio you can do it!”

“Amaya, there is something I’ll tell you…”

“What’s that?”

“I’ve always saw you and I’ve always have crush on you! Will you please go out with me?”

But Amaya turned her face to frown as the clouds slowly getting dark.

Akio touched her hand, “Sorry if it’s too sudden but I like you the way you are.”

But Amaya run away from him.

“Is this that I’m dumped? But why?”

He searched for her everywhere but he can’t find Amaya. Then he saw Dr. Makino.

“Sir, I’m sorry I made her cry.”

He stared deadly at him. “Why? And it’s impossible that Ama-chan cries!”

“I only confessed! And she didn’t literally cry! I only said that I like her the way she is… that’s all!”

“I see, I taught you’re the answer.”

“Why?”

“I explain to you, but this is a secret okay? Amaya has a curse inherited from my wife, the curse of the weather saint. Her emotions control the weather of the whole town. If she’s happy, it’ll be a sunny day, Storm if she’s angry…”

“And rain if she’s lonely. I see.”

“But she can’t cry, because the rain is her tears.”

Akio just pops out on his mind and run leaving him.

“Kids these days…”

Akio was right; she’s in the same place again.

“Amaya, I know now but still my feeling doesn’t change.”

“I’m a freak! I’m a…”

Amaya stopped when Akio kissed her lips.

Suddenly rain stopped.
