Five years later

February 5 2009

Two young women were waiting to pick up their luggage after they have arrived in Thailand, Bangkok Airport. After they have gone through the usual custom checks and security checks they walked to catch a cab. “I can’t believe that Adele managed to get that photo shoot with the young famous Thai photographer. Yet, she still made us fly to Thailand to be with her. God, there’s still quite a lot to do back in the company…” Jennifer complained half-heartedly. “Aww, come on! It’s not that bad, besides it’s going to be so much fun! She said that she wanted our support right? So here we are; this could be our relaxing vacation!” Rin said happily as she looked out of the window watching the tall skyscraper buildings.

After a forty minutes drive, they arrived at the Adelphi Grande Bangkok Hotel where they would be staying for their trip. Walking up to the counter, “Hi, my name is Jennifer Laetitia Lim. I’ve made a reservation for a suite.” She said to the receptionist. “Yes, Ms. Lim. We are expecting you. Please follow our staff and they will bring you to your suite.” The receptionist said and gave a room card to a hotel staff that took their luggage and showed them to their room.

After giving the hotel staff a tip who thanked her, she closed the door and went to unpacked her luggage while Rin was standing at the window looking at the magnificent view around them. “This place is a beauty! It will be perfect scenery on canvas with watercolour maybe acrylics paints too! Why did you choose this hotel, Jen?” she asked her. “This executive suite is just nice for what we both need, the facilities here are really good and on the plus side, there‘s a meeting room which I could use.”, Jennifer answered as she switched on her laptop. “Business comes first, huh? Well then, I should also get started on unpacking my luggage.” She said and started unlocking her luggage to take out her clothes.

“Don’t you need to work, princess? How could you leave your empire right now?” Jennifer asked as she read her emails. “Come on, even a princess need to get a rest once in a while. We’ve already finished the preparation for our next fashion collection, all we need now is to hold a casting to look for our models and that’s it besides, my paintings are selling quite well too.” Rin said and flashed a smile. “I’m here to have fun and relax! Hey, who knows maybe I’ll find my future husband here?” Rin laughed as she sat down onto the sofa. “You really do need a man in your life, someone who can stand your crazy antics.” Jennifer said as she turned off her laptop. “I’m thinking of having dinner right now. We need to get up early to meet Adele at sharp.” Jennifer walked to the door and looked at Rin. “Hold that door for me, I’m coming along.”

Adele looked at the clock that was hung on the studio walls. “Where are they, they should be here by now.” She muttered under her breath as her hairstylist and makeup artist did some final touch-ups. “Hey, Jen, this must be the right place.” A voice said as a beautiful face peered in. “Rin! You’re here! Where’s Jen?” Adele exclaimed and ran to hugged her. “I’m right here Adele, we got lost for a bit.” Jennifer said as she hugged Adele. “Wow, who’s the bombshell today?” Rin asked and laughed. “Come on, Rin, you’re looking fine! I still can’t believe that you grew up to be so crazily beautiful!” Adele said as she examined Rin’s face. “So where’s the famous photographer?” Jennifer asked. “Oh you mean Naoki? He’s not here yet, so let’s have some fun first on the set!” Adele said as she grabbed their hands and pulled them onto the set.

As they were having fun on the set taking pictures, a man wearing shades and carrying some camera equipments was heading towards the studio. Just before he could step into the studio, he was stun and bedazzled by the beauty posing on his photo shoot set. *Click* “That’s great, Rin. You looked so good!” Jennifer said as she took another picture. As Rin changed her pose, the man quickly took out his camera. *Click* “Hey Naoki’s here!” Someone exclaimed and everyone turned to look at the man. “He’s here; I should not play around on his set anymore.” Rin said as she got off the set and went to join Jennifer and Adele. As he walked in and began to prepare his camera’s equipment, he kept on glancing at Rin. ‘They looked so much alike.’ He thought.

After they finished the shoot as they were keeping the decorations and equipment, he walked over to Adele who was sitting with them, chatting and laughing. “Naoki”, she said as she looked at him. “It’s a great honour to be able to work with you.” “You too, Chanel, you were great.” He said as he shook her hands. “There’s a party this evening hosted by the famous Mr. Carson, Editor of Bello magazine. I would like to see you and your friends at the party?” He asked as he looked at Rin. “Of course, we’ll be there Naoki.” Adele said as she smiled. A smile that she put on whenever she notices something is going on. As he walked off, he turned to look at Rin and went to pack his equipments. “Ooh, I feel something is going on in here.” Adele said casually and smirked as Jennifer and Rin looked at her.

Naoki was surrounded by paparazzi once he got out from his sleek silver Porsche. He was dressed casually yet classy. His hair was styled nicely and his shades were from Gucci. He strolled right into the party with a casual walk as the cameras kept on clicking. Once he was inside the party, he was served a glass of red wine as he greeted the famous celebrities and artists there. After a few more famous people arrived, the long white limousine pulled up and the driver walked out and opened the car door. Adele stepped out wearing a short sequinned black dress with a belt on her waist. She was wearing a pair of black glove, her shoulder length brown hair straight and sleek with a beautiful diamond necklace to finish it off with smoky black eyes, long curled lashes with a red gloss. She waved and smiled at the paparazzi as Jennifer walked out next.

Wearing a short metallic blue dress with a pair of white heels, her short black bob with her natural makeup of a small amount of blush, a few coat of mascara with a pink gloss applied to her lips. On her ears were turquoise earrings and a beautiful turquoise bracelet on her right wrist. “It’s the CEO of DelStar!” the paparazzi shouted and quickly the cameras began to flash. The last one to step out was Rin, wearing a beautiful short blue chiffon dress that she designed herself, sliver straps-on and her beautiful long black hair was in an elegant bun. Wearing some silver earrings and bracelet, she finished the look with smoky eyes that complimented her pale porcelain skin, spidery eyelashes, a light blusher and a gloss of red on her lips. The cameras kept flashing with the paparazzi thinking, ‘Who is this beauty?’

As they walked into the party, Adele led the way for them as she spotted Mr. Carson having a conversation with Naoki. “Naoki, don’t you ever take off those shades?” he asked. “Why, no, Mr. Carson, It hides my identity.” Naoki replied and they laughed. “Naoki, Mr. Carson, thanks for inviting me to this fabulous party.” Adele said as she shook their hands. “Chanel, you’re looking wonderful.” Mr. Carson complimented her. Naoki turned too looked at Jennifer who was standing behind her and noticed that one more was missing. “Chanel, I think that you might be missing another of your friend?” Naoki said to her and he pointed to her back. “Why, isn’t this, the beautiful Miss. Jennifer from Delstar?” Mr. Carson asked as he shook her hand. “It’s such a pleasure to be able to attend this party, Mr. Carson.” Jennifer said and smiled.

While Adele turned too looked for Rin, she walked towards them gracefully and smiled at them. “Sorry, Adele, I got a bit lost.” Rin said and gave a playful little smile. Behind those shades, Naoki’s eyes were wide opened. This beauty standing right in front of him could not be the girl that he had met earlier in the day! ‘She looked just like Rin...’, before he could finish the sentence. She introduced herself. “My, look at this stunning creature we have here! You’re a true beauty! You would be a very famous supermodel, my dear. I never make any wrong judgement.” Mr. Carson said and smiled as he shook her hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Mr. Carson. I’m Rin Josette Lee.” Rin aid and smiled. Naoki took a step back. ‘This, she, she is Rin?!’ he thought. He was too stunned for words.

Before, Rin could shake his hands; he walked off to get a drink to calm himself down. He walked to the bar and ordered a scotch whisky. “Why is she here now?! After so many years, is this my last chance? I don’t want to lose her again!” he muttered to himself as he drank a few more glass of whisky. ‘I’m obsessed....*chuckle*...’ He was quite drunk as he staggered to look for Rin as he bumped into someone. “I-I’m sorry”, he said as he looked up to see who he bumped into. Rin looked up and saw that she bumped into Naoki who was smelled strongly of liquor. “Hey, are you alright? You’re drunk, do you need help?” she asked him. He looked at her and smiled as he leans towards her and whispered in her ears: “I’m drunk, could you send me home?” She looked at him again and nodded thinking that she will accompany him to hail a cab for him.

Once she hailed a cab for him and making sure that he got in safely, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into the cab with him. He closed the door and told the driver his address; he closed his eyes as his head rested onto her shoulders. “Hey, wake up! What are you doing? Let me out!” she cried but she received no response from him. ‘Well, he really is drunk and it’s dangerous to leave him alone like this...but is it me, or does he looked somehow familiar?’, she thought. After they arrived at their destination, she supported him up the stairs to his studio apartment. He had gotten his keys out but was having a little trouble to slot the right key into the door. She took the keys from him, opened the door and supported him in. “Hey Naoki, where’s your room?” she asked and he pointed her towards a room on the right. She placed him onto his bed and went too switched on the light.

His face was all red and he was sweating, she went to look for a towel and a small pail of cold water. She came back into his room and began to wipe the sweat from his red face. She washed the cloth and folded it and placed it on his forehead. After that, she took off his shoes and jacket, un-button a few buttons on his shirt and took off his shades which she placed on the table beside the bed. She looked at his tanned skin and sighed. “Why am I doing all this?” she said as she looked at the clock. “I need to get back to the party!” she exclaimed and stood up when Naoki grabbed her arm and pulled her onto his bed. He grabbed her other arm and held them right above her head. He knelt on top of her and smirked. “Do you think I’ll let you leave me again?” He tore off her clothes and lingerie as she screamed and cried. “Let me go! What do you think you’re doing?!” she screamed as tears rolled down her cheeks.

That day, that night, he raped her. A starting of their invisible bond.
