So. My second poem. Be kind.

--

Under a Tree
Under a tree, under a tree
Enlightenment I see for me.
In a flash! I see the light.
Pre Nirvana; it just feels right.
Ignorance; desires; cravings. Gone.
I’ve just woke up: I’m the Awakened One.
My whole life- spent- studying this
All sufferings gone: into the abyss.

I’m fully aware; my ego has boosted
Entirely pure: awareness has rooted.
I see greed, hatred, jealousy, and lust.
Awareness of that should be a must.

I wonder- when will everyone follow their gut?
Soon, I hope, maybe; but
Under a tree, under a tree
I, Buddha, reached Enlightenment
For me.

So. Once again. For the third time, something spectacular has come out of World Civ class. There seriously is something going on.

But, ANYWAYS, I am extremely pleased with this poem, it only being my second one, and I wrote it specifically for a project I had on Buddhism and Asia. So, it’s safe to say that I. AM. AWESOME.

So. I’d love feedback, be it good or bad. Flames welcome.
Looking forward to your reviews!!
