PROLOGUE

I was wrapped in his arms, naked. He was panting, licking my body all over. He sat up and removed his boxers and fell upon me once more. He pulled a wet strand of hair from my face. He took my hand along his abs and lower, causing me to silently gasp. He chuckled quietly and continued to kiss me. I positioned my hands over my head and he put his arms on my hips. Before I realized it, he was in me.

“Giannah Avery Mirella?”

I glanced up from a Vogue magazine. I stood up and went with the lady behind the blue door. She led me to room 22 with a smile. She opened the heavy door for me. She handed me a dressing gown.

“Dr. Rothenburg will be with you shortly, Giannah.”

“Thank you,” I replied a little too quietly.

She left the room. I removed my jeans and shirt, which were getting tight on me. I slipped the gown over my head, tying the strings to close the back.

All of the sudden, Dr. Rothenburg opened the door. “Well, Miss Mirella, I haven’t seen you for quite some years. Hop up on the bench.” I did as she said. “Why did you request an appointment after all this time?”

“I don’t know, I just haven’t been feeling all that well. I thought I’d be smart and call for an appointment,” I slightly grinned.

“Well that was very smart of you,” she instructed. “Go ahead and lie down.” I did as she said. She checked my breasts and private area, which I thought, was a little uncomfortable.

“Have you had any sexual activity?” she asked.

I faltered. I finally spoke. “Yes.”

“How many times would you say in the last 2 months?”

This was so embarrassing! “Uh, at least a dozen times?”

“Are you on birth control?”

“Nope, I’m not allowed,” I answered.

She sighed. “Giannah, you are showing early signs of pregnancy.”

My face went white and my eyes widened. “You mean, like a baby…” I choked.

She nodded.

We were on his couch and he was kissing my neck. “Cooper,” I tried saying.

“Shh, Gee,” he told me continuing. He tried to force off my shirt but I pushed him away. He was breathing hard.

“What the hell, Gee?” he yelled.

“Why are you mad at me?” I shot back.

Cooper sighed. “You’re right, I’m sorry.”

“It’s…it’s not alright, Cooper. You didn’t use protection did you?” I asked him.

He looked puzzled. “What do you me—?”

“I’m pregnant, Cooper!” I screamed.

“What?!”

“You never used a condom did you? After all the times I told you I wasn’t on birth control and you still never did! Did you even care?” I cried jumping up from the couch, throwing my arms all over the place.

“Gee—.”

“I would have thought you were smarter than that! I am only 15 and, God Cooper you’re 17! You should have a lot more responsibility for your damn actions!” I tried to continue but Cooper wrapped his arms around me in a hug.

“Shh, Gee, it’s alright, we’ll get through this…” I sobbed into his arms hoping he was right.

The pain rushed through my veins and seared through my skin. I let out a cry of agony.

“Come on, Giannah, once again!”

I held my breath and my face continued to redden. I heard a strangled cry and I relaxed against the snowy white pillows, trying to catch my breath.

“Here she is.” The nurse handed me a small creature covered in sticky blood. She was wrapped in a pink blanket as the baby still squealed.

“Oh my god! Keira Gabrielle,” I cried as I kissed the top of her head. She was absolutely beautiful.

An hour later, Cooper came in. He saw the baby in my arms and smiled. He pressed his lips in her cheek and cradled her in his arms once he took her from me. My best friend McKenna walked in with my brother, Gavin, and my sister Glennah. Glennah skipped over to my bedside.

“Oh, Gee, she’s absolutely adorable! She is so pretty!” Glennah chirped cheerfully.

I laughed. “And the smallest,” I added.

“Even a month premature, she is still gorgeous,” McKenna mused.

“Why couldn’t it be a boy?” Gavin complained. “I’ve always been surrounded by girls!”

Cooper laughed, rustling Gavin’s hair. We all looked when there was a knock on the door. My dad was standing in the doorway.

Cooper handed the baby back to me. “We will wait out in the hallway,” Cooper said, kissing my head.

Once the door was shut, I spoke, “Are you sober enough to talk to me?”

“Yes,” Brad answered. “She’s pretty, Gee.”

“Yes, well, she was an accident,” I added.

“Gee, you were an accident too, but I loved you anyways,” Brad said.

“I never said I wasn’t going to love Keira.”

“When you get home I’ll—.”

“Dad, I’m not going back home,” I interrupted.

“What do you mean?”

“I’m moving in with Cooper.”

“He can provide better for you and her, can’t he?”

I nodded.

“Well, I’m sorry I was never there. What are you doing after high school?”

I shrugged my shoulders. “Marry Cooper, I guess.”

“How do you know you two will still be together?”

Where the hell were these questions coming from? “We will!” I yelled.

Brad’s face turned red with anger. “Do you think I wanted this for you?”

“I really didn’t think you cared! All you do is get drunk and then go bed a fucking whore!”

I knew I went to far when I felt his hand smack across my face. It felt like I had just been hit with a ton of bricks. I grabbed the side of my face and glared at him.

“Don’t you ever insult me girl! I will be your guardian and God dammit I will do my job as a parent! You are my responsibility, not his! I don’t want you to be at his every whim so he can just gather you in his arms and make love to you!”

“You are such a hypocrite! That’s exactly what you do!” I yelled.

Brad threw his hands in the air. I knew he’d had it. “I’m leaving. And just so you know, you’re mother was nothing but just another one of my sluts!”

My chest felt heavy and he stormed out of the room.

Cooper’s mother, Caroline, came into the nursery at their house. She was cradling Keira in her arms, as she was fast asleep.

“After five months out of the womb, Gee, she’s grown very long,” Caroline admired.

“Yeah, she’s gonna have Cooper’s height,” I answered.

“Gee, we’ve got a problem!” Cooper said coming through the door. He slammed a newspaper onto my lap. The article on the front page read, Local Man Kills and Rapes Fifteen-Year-Old Girl. I looked closer and continued reading. I gasped.

“What?” Caroline asked.

“It’s my dad…” I choked.

“Oh my god,” Caroline said.

Ok, so the prologue is a little jumpy but it gets a the main point that Gee is pregnant and he dad is an alcoholic. I should have the next chapter up soon! Please review and tell me what you thought!
