Nose on the mirror

eyes can’t get much clearer.

Black running from my headlights.

Body heavy, world fading,

laying there to be found

by the only one who cares.

Surprise. Wake up.

Groggy, dressed in white

laying on white. Someone

holding my hand.

Eyelids heavy, can’t move.

The hand squeezes mine,

it’s him. He found me

and didn’t let me go.

He didn’t let me go.

Sometimes you just want to let go.
