Tonight I miss your skin the most
That scent of last Autumn's air
Fresh linen sheets
And the sweetest softest smoke

And how your eyes remind me
Of the forest down the street
Dark chestnut, rich amber, and in the light
Just the right amount of green

I miss the walk that makes you ten feet tall
A man that would touch the stars
If only to give them as gifts
For his princess down below

And though you are across the sea
Tonight, to far to feel my longing kiss
The imprint you have left on me
These deep and perfect memories

They keep me strong enough to breathe
Another breath and live through each of these
Most difficult of lonely moments
Without you here to hold my heart

.'.Winter.'.
